Hi Friends!
It has been an incredible summer - I've been keeping super busy playing shows, concerts, weddings, you name it, and keeping this music life rolling! In the midst of it all, I'm super happy to announce that I recently completed recording a brand new EP album with the help of super-amazing friend/producer Andre de Santanna. He produced my previous two albums, and I just love working with him. Plans are underway to announce a release date, and we'll get a couple singles in your hands as we lead up to the release. I may be asking your help in the form of pre-orders, house concerts, etc., to assist me in getting the final stages completed. Albums aren't cheap when you do 'em right!! And I appreciate all your support of the music so far. Can you believe, this will be my 6th album??!!! Where do the years go?!
What's the vibe of this new project? Well, it's sort of a combination of old and new for me - a little bit folkey, a little bit rockin', a little bit of soul (which is new for me!), a little bit deep, and little bit light-hearted - I'm so excited about this batch of songs. The news this past year has been full of really tragic sh*t, and songs have always been my own way of processing the negativity, my way of wrestling with demons - my own and the world's. To that end, there are a couple social-commentary songs that I'm very excited about. Then, there are a couple just plain fun and light-hearted songs about life and love - love of family, kids, love of life in general.
And the songs keep coming! I've been on a writing tear and have been debuting new songs as I work on them throughout this past summer at local shows here in San Diego.
