Michael is a finalist at Kerrville!! : The Kerrville Folk Festival is the biggest festival of its kind in the the U.S. For the past 25 years,
there has been an emerging songwriters contest, from which have been chosen over the years tons of great songwriters.  I was
fortunate to have been chosen as a finalist out of 800 entries this year.  I competed at the Festival last Sunday against some of
the most gifted songwriters I've ever seen!  It was a great weekend, and even though I didn't win the whole burrito, I'm honored to
have been chosen as a finalist and to have had the opportunity to be exposed to such an amazing crowd of music afficionados!

Just returned from tour - and it did rocketh! (03/02/06): I just returned from a very inspiring and invigorating trip out to Austin, TX, for the
national Folk Alliance Conference.  I also played several amazing gigs in Denver, Boulder, and then out in the Philadelphia area.  Touring is
great, but I'm so glad to be back in good ol' SD!  Thanks to everybody in Colorado and Philly who made my trip so pleasurable!  Denver is sort
of becoming like a second home base for me, and I'll be sure to return in the next 4 months.

Michael chosen as one of the top independent artists in the country by the Independent Artists Registry (11/22/05): I've just
received a one-year endorsement by the IAR, which is a talent scouting service serving the top 100 record labels.  Out of 1000's of
applicants, only 34 were chosen this year.  Cool, eh?  I look forward to working with them!
"Jumping In" named "AAA Album of the Year" by the Los Angeles Music Awards! (11/10/05): It's official!  The album won both the

 Well, I didn't win the competition, but to be chosen as a top ten from hundreds of submissions of artists from around the
country, and then to get to perform with and meet all of them - absolutely amazing!  We had a great time, and Tracy even surprised me at
the festival by showing up!  Thanks Tamara for the plane ride and the wild time!

"Jumping In" nominated for "Triple A" Album of the Year by the L.A. Music Awards! info here  (06/22/05) - That's right folks!  Here we
go again on another wild ride into the world of awards and competition.  After rockin' the house last year at the LA Music Awards show,
they were super excited to get the copy of the new disc, and were diggin' it big time.  So much so, that they're nominating it for an album
category this year (= very cool!).  Triple A or "AAA", for those of you who aren't  hip to all the numerous types of genres out there, stands for
Adult Alternative Artists.  Artists considered to be part of this genre could include people like Sting, Alanis Morissette, Counting
Crows...you get the picture!
Michael's song "Slow Down" was featured on NPR "All Songs Considered"  - Received the highest rating - 4.46 out of 5!  Thanks for voting!

Festival in Snowbird, Utah.  This a huge yearly festival, and it's songwriters competition is one of the best in the country!  Please tell your friends/family
out in Salt Lake City to come out and support me w/ their presence and their cheers!  The competition gets underway at 12:30 on Saturday the 16th.

Music Festival was a huge success!  Tons of bands from all around N. America descended upon the little town of Albuquerque

four walls for the rest of the summer at Kitsch & Sync Productions pumping out the next batch of the raddest tunes you've ever

"Spaces" hits the street runnin' - airplay, shows, promos (04/19/07) : OK OK OK - I'm HORRIBLE at updating this news page.  
But I had to come back and fill you in on some details with these last wild months.  First off, WOW on the CD release!!  We've
done two release shows - one in Denver and one in San Diego, and both were amazing!  Thanks to all of you who came out and
showed your support and those of you who have bought the disc!  We had a SLEW of press both in Denver and San Diego - a lot
of that stuff I'll put up on the video page soon.  Also, we're working on a new website as well, which should be ready in a few
weeks time.  Right now, we're in the throes of a radio promotion, and also booking up the Coast and back east - so hang tight
and we'll get to ya'! KPRI FM 102.1 in San Diego has been showing the disc much love, so make sure to drop them a line to thank
them for playing me.  New stations are adding the CD to their rotations as we speak!  So, this is it!  A HUGE push for Spaces is
going on, thanks to you and your support of the music.  My gratitude is always present for you all!

A Farewell to Alex for the time being...Alex to join Steve Vai Band  (6/13/07) :  Our good friend and fiddle-playing phenom, Alex
DePue, is joining the legendary Steve Vai for his 2007 touring for the rest of the year.  This is a great opportunity for Alex, and we
wish him the best!!  He'll be joining us for shows when he gets back, and in between his touring.
